Famous Daves in Linden Hills is Now Closed for Business

What was once a staple in the popular Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis has now closed for good.
 
Last week, Jon Swenson, the owner of Famous Daves shut the small restaurant down and has plans to sell the land to local developer Mark Dwyer. The site will wind up as a boutique condo project called Linden Crossing. There will be 16 luxury Minneapolis condo units for sale ranging in price from the $600s to well over 1.5MM. The first floor will feature 6000 square feet of commercial space with a handful of retail tenants similar to the fabric of the Linden Hills business community.
 
So far, 9 of the 16 condos are under contract and pended. Mark Dwyer says the construction will start in August of this year and take roughly 12 months for completion and occupancy.
